News: The Source, Book

Published 25 April 08 01:10 PM | root

The Source... I've been recording a lot and I've probably made the episode 3 times over now. Still trying to get back into things. I said by Friday but it looks like you guys will have to wait until this weekend.

On a happier note, for those of you who are interested in my writing hobby, I've started a new book (Trial by Fire) on my writing.com account. Chapter 1 is in the draft phase and will be writing ch2 this week. I'm hoping to get a chapter out every week. Feel free to sign up for a free account and leave feedback... or just comment here.

Feels good to be writing again.

I like the title of this new one. Thanks for the link, I've never heard of writing.com before; I'll register and leave you my feedback over there.

It's a decent site Yes

I've been with them for... 5 years now? I've gone through 2 accounts so I can't say for sure. 5 sounds about right. Plenty of good authors on that site, but you have to search for them. There is sometimes a lot of... beginner pieces... that you have to dig through to find the real gems. The cool thing about it is if you have some work you'd like reviewed, find some one better than you and give them a very detailed review--9 times out of 10 they will return the favor and you get some insight on what you are doing wrong.

Hey Root read the first 2 chapters, its a good mixture of scifi, Fantasy and war. I'd like a copy when you finish it, you manage to keep my interest while still not revealing the plot though any good reader knows the basics of the story line.

About root

I currently live in Dallas, Texas and work at an IT outsourcing company as a SAN Storage Administrator. You can say I'm one of those 'just out of college kids'.

Hobbies: writing, computer building, reading (usually computer books but I get around to SciFi/Fantasy once in a while), movies/tv, bars, IT security, and of course Eggxpert.

Not much of a Myspace/Facebook kind of guy. My top (dot com) sites I visit are Gmail, Eggxpert, Writing, and Digg.

In short, I'm just another guy with a computer and an internet connection.
