It's that time of the year

But first... Watch this:

YouTube. Gotta love it.

Anyways, what time of the year is it you ask? Valentines Day? Nope. Morally against v-day.

This time of the year I upgrade. Why? Because 1) Vday generates some decent deals and 2) Holidays are over and the weather is on the verge of being good to go outside but not.

So I'm upgrading my main machine. Taking the step into dual core land with AMD's X2 3600, a new case, a new mobo to go with new processor and new memory to go with the new board.

Now this might not seem like an upgrade to you but you don't know what it's replacing. Remember, I'm cheap. Big Smile

Although I didn't really hold back on my server.... [HYPOCRITE]

My main machine is hooked up in my living room, hooked up to my 42" TV, and where I watch most of my *cough* TV shows.

Speaking of TV shows and telling everyone that I wasn't born with a man card, have you guys ever watched Cashmere Mafia? Dang, stupid GF got me hooked on it. Think Sex in the City (not that I ever watched that show) but better.

I think I just lost half my users that read my blog. I'm down to 1 person now.

*grin*

About root

I currently live in Plano, Texas and work at an IT outsourcing company as a SAN Storage Administrator. You can say I'm one of those 'just out of college kids'.

Hobbies: writing, computer building, reading (usually computer books but I get around to SciFi/Fantasy once in a while), movies/tv, bars, IT security, and of course Eggxpert.

Not much of a Myspace/Facebook kind of guy. My top (dot com) sites I visit are Gmail, Eggxpert, Writing, and Digg.

In short, I'm just another guy with a computer and an internet connection.
