Cool blog, I like this, also, I have to admit, I really like Lucky Star and Kanata of what I've seen...And Lucky Star is genious!

I also like Bleach and a few others, and from what I've heard, Rosario+Vampire is really good... O_0

But I'm a Naruto freak... *Shrugs*

I agree, Clannad was quite excellent, combining humor with drama, but nothing can top Kanon 2006. I just loved the story line and the mystery behind it. It's a bit hard to grasp at first, but by the end of it everything falls into place and makes sense. The anime had a great ending, one of the best cliff hanger endings ever.

In the case of Clannad, the series ended in somewhat of a cliff hanger as well, but the movie was quite excellent filling in on everything that the series did not.

AIR, although quite old, it was quite excellent as well. The animation was more intriguing than the story line though.

If you enjoy this genre of anime. Take a look at Kimi Ga Nozumo Eien ( The Eternity We Desire). It's definately a must see.

As for bleach. Geez, its gotten awful. I stopped watching it after the big rescue. Everything after that was filler, and nothing more than an annoyance. Reminds me of DBZ. I swear.

And if you liked lucky star make sure you watch The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. Humor combined with a really trippy story line. Also be sure to take a look at the "Attack of the Otaku" video. It's on Youtube somewhere. It won best edit at Animeboston 2008, It was absolutely awesome.

I liked Clannad more than Kanon myself, but that's just a matter of preference. They're both excellent. I want to play the games! Like I hinted at in my blog, I didn't really like Air. I just didn't understand it at all. I'll have to take a look at Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I like a variety of different anime.

As for Bleach, after Rukia's rescue, there was a lot of filler. It wasn't too bad, but it did go on forever. Then it got back to the original storyline and was really good again. Then this new filler started at ep. 170. I pretty much covered my issues with the timing of it in the blog post, but now after 7 episodes, this new filler has completely failed to catch my interest. I've watched it almost religiously every week for quite a while now, but I'm starting to just not care anymore. I do hope Bleach ends after the war with Aizen is wrapped up. I don't think there's really anywhere else it can go after that. It is suffering from DBZ syndrome: Powerful bad guys show up, Ichigo gets beat, Ichigo gets stronger, Ichigo beats bad guys, repeat.

I did watch Haruhi after watching Lucky Star, I thought it was awesome. Also Genshiken, which is somewhat similar to Lucky Star. I put up short posts about them in the Anime forums.

I agree completely. One man can only be so bad a** lol. Yet I'm still watching Naruto after like a zillion epps (1/2 of those were fillers lol) so the format can't be all bad.
