Late to the party

So I disappeared from the egg for a while again.  I've been majorly distracted.

By what, you ask? (Or maybe not)  I just started playing World of Warcraft a few weeks ago, and I'm loving it.  I know I'm coming in a bit later than most, but I have this thing where I think once you pay for a game, that should be it.  I absolutely hate the idea of subscription fees to play a game I already paid for.  I always thought this looked like a great game, but I never played it just because of the fees.

But a friend of mine finally convinced me to give it a try, and I'm totally hooked.  It's great fun exploring the world, killing monsters, getting treasure, and doing quests.  Running instances is awesome, and though I've never been a fan of PVP, the arena is a lot of fun too.  I like it so much, I went ahead and preorderd Wrath of the Lich King, and I never preorder stuff.

So now I'm up on something many of you already knew: WoW is good.

If any of you see an undead warlock named Obakemono on Detheroc, say hi!

Photosynthesize? As in, go outside? Where you have bad things like sunlight and fresh air?  No thanks.

Seriously, I avoid leaving my apartment as much as possible, with or without WOW.  I used to work for UPS, and the best thing about it was that I manage to go for a month without ever seeing daylight.  It was great.

Wow, WoW is spreading like the plague in Warcraft 3....i wonder how much longer until it destroys everything and the last hope is to combine forces with our enemies to barely stop it?

About rdaniels

Mostly interested in computer software, especially operating systems and networking. I enjoy learning about the architecture, design, and protocols of these. I'm especially interested in Linux, which I love to use, but I also try to keep updated on happenings in the BSD and Solaris realms. Never been terribly interesting in hardware. The way I see it, hardware just sits there until software tells it to do something. Boring! (To those who like hardware, I'm grateful to you. Without people like you, my software wouldn't have anything to boss around!) Currently studying for a career in network adminstration, plan to also study programming and operating systems.
