&lt;p&gt;And a note to people looking for good history videos of China, there's a series called &amp;quot;The Silk Road: An Ancient World of Adventure&amp;quot; that's on DVD.. It's about $100 or so, but you can rent the whole set from Netflix and watch it in less than a month.&lt;/p&gt;

I know one of my Professors has been there and he said that their were armed guards everywhere. &lt;/p&gt;
