Large scale fight scenes featuring intense hand to hand combat, fantastic choreography of period accurate weapons combat and an enthralling story line all combine in Three Kingdoms for an epic story about the fight to unite China.

Hero, with Jet Li, was a similar movie but it was loaded with Computer Generated Images and filmed with lots of green screens, making the movie too fantastical to be in any way realistic. Three Kingdoms avoids such cartoonish depictions of people and pugilism to bring a masterpiece of cinematic realism to one of the most historic battles in world history.
