Learn to cherish
We always focus on what we have lost instead of what we possess. We often feel depressed because we finally found the things were so wonderful after we lost them; unfortunately, we seldom realized how precious they were when we previously had them.
When suffering diseases, we realize the value of health;
When experiencing hunger, we think of the food we have wasted;
When death hanging over our heads, we finally begin to understand that being alive is the greatest happiness.
Don’t complain about earning less than others, at least you can earn a living for yourself. You should remember lots of people are unemployed and are worried about their next meal everyday.
Don’t complain that life is boring; at least you are still alive and healthy. You should remember lots of people are suffering wars, hungers ,diseases or even facing death at this very moment;

Don’t complain that your parents are so preachy, at least you still have them, and you can stay with them whenever you want. You should remember lots of people are crying for losing their family at the same time.

Now, have you realized how wealthy we are?
In China, we have an old saying: “Tree prefers calm while wind not subsides; Son chooses filial while parents died.” This is to tell us that our parents are getting older and older before we realized, remember to always treat them well so as to avoid regret after they pass away. We should learn to cherish; cherish people around us and cherish things we are experiencing at this moment. As for the lost things, just let them elapse and forget them with time pass by.
We are always hurried to pursue our ideals; when finally looked back at the destination, we just found we have missed so many wonderful sceneries. We may as well slow down our steps; enjoy the niceness on the way while keeping advanced.
What we can catch would be our happiness, but what we missed would become our pities. Always remember to cherish what you possess now so as to avoid more regrets when you finally awaken…
