Sad to say, I'm 25 and living with my mom. Part of its because she's disabled. The other part is because I'm disabled. As a kid, I remember playing Mortal Kombat with my mom. She was a titan. Shooters, however, have never really been a part of her gaming experience. She did one (some Call of Duty spinoff for the game cube) that she wasn't really good at. However, she really want to play World of Warcraft, so I built her an inexpensive gaming computer.
She never bought World of Warcraft. However, she discovered Steam had Max Payne for 10 dollars. Just Thursday, she bought it. I've never felt so pwned in my life.
As I'm writing this, she has hit her first real challenge: the Valkyr trip. She decimated Jack Lupino and his men, obliterated Vinny, and all this without the use of bullet time. She's only played it for a total of 8 hours or so, and well, she has completely destroyed my one claim to fame: that I am better at shooters than she is. On one hand, I have something to brag about. On another, its almost sad that I can't keep up with her in this game.
After beating Lupino she was left with almost full health and 3 painkillers. His soldiers did more damage than he did. She didn't die once during the fight. However, I was left heavily injured with no painkillers and had died countless times both at his army's hands and his before I beat him the first time. Its amazing.
Sound off: Do you guys have a relative that is better at a game than you? An older relative, like a mom, a dad, or grandparent, that mops the floor with you when they play?
