It's a wonderfully written article, showing the pluses and minuses of both sides. Add to that the fact that he's not an average computer user

re: PC vs Mac

Mac really won’t drop prices for one or two reasons.

1.) They won't sell out to third-parties to put trial software on their computers. That’s why pre-built PCs are so cheap because third-parties pay for their trial programs on the PC computers

2.) Mac will most not ever likely let anyone buy Mac certified parts to build their own. This is why Macs work so well when you don’t put third party software on there, because everything is designed for itself.

All-in-all if you are a graphic artist or a know-nothing about computers person Mac is a good choice because you are not used to a Windows PC. If you are ever looking for power then PC is the way to go (unless you can shell out $5000+ for the retardedly insane Mac tower they have with a full 4 GB of RAM!!) <--being sarcastic about that part

Macs do have advantages over PCs, but I find it funny how people think the world will go back to Mac, why would it? Businesses have put millions of dollars in to PCs, it would not be wise of them to spend money to replace all that hardware and software. Macs could win the home users however and maybe the new schools that are being built. But that is so small compared to the businesses out there.

BTW, I build my own PCs and continually try to teach my grandparents how to use their Mac computers, so I don't hate Macs just because, I dislike them because I see no value in them like other people do.

I too am perplexed as to why and how Apple can charge so much when you really get so so little. But I guess when your cool, you can do that. lol

I guess its really expensive to stick it to the man which is why i prefer to pay only manufacturers and Newegg.com to build my PC :)

Odd...

Anywho, really love the article, I agree with the points about Macs...They kinda suck in many different ways...

Maybe true but in my experience it dosen't help their performance at all, in fact I would find the MAC I had to use in college crashed 10 times more than my PC ever did.

That was a rule in art classes, always have your zip disk in the drive and save every 5 minutes because you never knew when it was gonna crash.

If you can't tell I'm a PC guy all the way, but I do own and iphone if that counts.
