The 'System Specs' tab has been fully implemented on the EggXpert site. As mentioned in the previous newsletter, we feel that this is going to be a tremendous asset for the community as a whole. Per the request of many of our dedicated users, we have set up a structure via the specs tab that will make posting in various forums and threads more informative and, thus, will generate better feedback and suggestions.
Once the System Specs tab is chosen, users are given the option to fill in various fields with as much or as little information they deem necessary for a given post. The current layout that we have set once in the specs tab will go as follows:
- Motherboard
- Processor
- Memory
- Hard Drive
- Video Card
- Operating System
- Sound Card
- Power Supply
- Cooling
- Monitor
- Browser
- Misc.
We have also added a note next to the Post button that will remind users, "Don't forget to post your System Specs." Please feel free to provide any feedback or suggestions that you may have that will benefit the Specs structure.

On another note, EggXpert Chat is almost ready for launch! We are currently in the final stages of preparing and fine-tuning the chat function to go public. As mentioned before, we will be using the Cute Chat Server which is fully compatible with Community Server and will make an easy transition for all involved. The chat rooms will offer instant access for users to interact with one another and offer the same support that is used in the forums. Users of EggXpert will not need to create a new username as all user information will be transferred to the chat server.
Just as with the current forum structure, EggXpert Chat will have each chat room broken down by every particular forum topic.
In order to enter EggXpert Chat, users will find a new 'Chat' tab that is located at the top of the landing page in between 'Forums' and 'Blogs.' Once you are in a chat room, you will see the usernames displayed for every user in that room. Users will also be able to utilize various fonts, emotions, skins and avatars to have fun with.
We are excited for the launch of the chatrooms and know that it will further expand the usefulness and buzz of the website. We are sure you will enjoy!
