If all goes well the internet will stay neutral, while federal regulations ensure a faster and cheaper connection and more ISP's. Thanks for sharing with us what's going on on that front. I've been out of the loop.

You could also bring up the fact that the government has given hundreds of millions of dollars (can't find the actual number, could even be in the billions) to the telecom companies to replace the old infrastructure with fiber but they never did, they just took the money.

Greedy bastads

I am very much against any kind of censorship or corporate control of the internet. Occasionally I'll fire off emails to representatives in Congress about my thoughts on net neutrality and the DMCA (which is an abomination, IMO), but really haven't been as active as I would like.

Being something of a proponent of free software and free culture, I know there are so many issues facing us. Corporate interests, the DMCA, net neutrality, and software patents to name a few.

Welcome to corporate America.

I think the telecom companies are getting a bit too greedy, and the politicians a bit too lazy on this issue...

Something needs to be done...

Respectfully,
